Description

This dark-elf appears to favor drab garb, unlike many of his kind,
and has the general bearing and appearance of a wandering
ascetic. Except for the blood. Yes, streaks of blood stain his
clothes and a small assortment of bladed weapons on his person. A
bit of it seems fresh and wet, but much of it is old and browned.
His eyes are a brilliant silver with a few darker flecks, an
unsettling contrast to his ebony skin. His features are sharp and
severe, like jagged crags framing a particularly unwelcoming
cavern. Still, something about him seems both distant and intensely
engaged.

Adorning his robes is an old rune commonly known to the desert people
to denote the status of a eunuch, particularly in certain strict
religious contexts.

Ch. 4: Dis-Member-Ment

Malchazzar held his bloody, severed genitals in his hand and
offered them to Scarabaeus Sacer at their first meeting.

With this act, he became free of a terrible burden that he had
carried - a burden between his legs that had driven his
thoughts and desires. A part for pleasure, and a part for
distraction.

Malchazzar could think of no better way to prove his devotion
than to sever it from his body and hand it to his Father. To
become a sexless warrior-priest who would just as readily carve
impurities from himself as he would from the rest of Thera.

No more can he be led astray by the manipulation of his most
base desires. His mind and body will no longer be split -
rather, he can move forward with singular focus unknown to most
but fellow eunuchs and the undead.

The Father of Devils accepted the offering. Malchazzar's
manhood burst into flames upon the altar of Scarabaeus'
Mausoleum, and a new chapter has begun.

Chapter 4

Ch. 3: The Surface

After he was found out to have been engaging in self-mutilation
and heresy by worshiping Scarabaeus, Malchazzar immediately set
out to escape Teth Azeleth before he could be brought to death.

He plunged into the Underdark Sea and swam madly and aimlessly
to freedom, carnivorous fish tearing at his flesh all the
while. By some stroke of luck, he surfaced in the Dragon Sea
and entered the Overworld.

His adventures since he surfaced have been wild and varied.

Following great hardships and adjustments to life in the upper
realm, Malchazzar's deep understanding of Scarabaeus' teachings
won him the favor of Jeede, the Voice of the Scarab, and gained
him entrance to the Temple.

Malchazzar has become increasingly extreme in his views, and
has taken to calling those of the Temple "Brother" and
"Sister." All Therans are Children of the Father, though some
are wayward. They may be cleansed through discussion and
evisceration, until they change or until they are carved from
the face of Thera.

He seeks to deepen his devotion to the Father's teachings and
rise to Eldership within the Temple.

SUMMARY, GOALS AND QUIRKS

Summary:
Malchazzar is a complete failure in the eyes of dark-elven
society. He illicitly fell in love with a human and fathered a
half-drow child during a rendezvous in Lower Cragstone. The
human and half-breed infant were discovered and killed. As
punishment, Malchazzar was forced to eat them in front of
his Mistress.

This ultimately drove Malchazzar to leave drowish society and
seek answers elsewhere. He settled on the teachings of
Scarabaeus.

Goals:
- Malchazzar seeks the teachings of Scarabaeus.
- He wants to join the Cult of the Ruby Scarab.
- He wants to destabilize drowish society in hopes of
leading more dark-elves to Scarabaeus.

Quirks:
- Malchazzar has a special distaste for those who embrace
drowish tradition.
- He gets nearly orgasmic pleasure out of seeing entrails
or consuming the flesh of a humanoid. In other words, he
has some kind of cannibalistic fetish.
- He has a thing for round women with pale skin.

Ch. 2: The Feast

A sumptuous, steaming feast lay out before Malchazzar - a plate with roasted,
bone-on meat, garnished with beautiful, multicolored cave fungus and spices
from the Overworld brought down to Teth Azeleth at great expense. A bowl of
rich, fatty soup rested beside it.

Across from him sat his Mistress. Behind him, a servant stood with a knife.
Malchazzar looked up at his Mistress, silent and suspicious. He never ate at the
table with her.

"I thought about telling you after you ate it, but that seemed too cruel," the
Mistress cooed. "I am merciful. Am I not?"

Malchazzar nodded. "Yes, Mistress."

On the plate before you is your firstborn son, she said. In the soup is his
mother.

She smiled wickedly.

"Now, I want to see a clean plate, Malchazzar," she said. "I want to watch you
gnaw on those delicious little bones. If Im not satisfied that you enjoyed the
meal, then my servants will prepare you in a similar fashion."

Malchazzar trembled slightly. He picked up his silverware and began to cut
into the meat.

"What do you say, Malchazzar?"

"Thank you, Mistress."

Malchazzar did not break down that night. He finished his meal with the utmost
courtesy and gratitude for his Mistress and survived to return to his quarters. It
was there, in his sleepless solitude, that the first wave of utter emptiness washed
over him.

He had long harbored rebellion deep within his heart. A discontent with the customs
of the drow and his mistreatment as a male. The human woman he had met in
Lower Cragstone had been an occasional diversion.

He felt her appearance was exotic and enticing. Most drow would live and die
underground without seeing flesh as pale as hers, or a figure as soft and rotund.
She was appreciative and considerate during sex - a welcome difference from
his cruel Mistress in Teth Azeleth.

The Mistress improved the standing of Malchazzars family, and he was obliged
to live with her and give her a daughter. The monthly sexual rituals had yet to take.
In the mean time, Malchazzar was put to use on occasional patrols. He took every
moment of autonomy to slip away to Lower Cragstone, where he would meet his
human.

Unfortunately for him, even Cragstone has spies, and the Mistress has a particular
talent for cruelty.

Chapter 1

Ch. 1: Malchazzar Flunks Magic School

The tutor to Teth Azeleth's noble children stepped into Malchazzar's
sleeping quarters to find what appeared to be the scene of a murder.
Malchazzar was covered in blood and writhing on the ground, caking
filth and crimson onto his fine silk robes.

He had been listening for a while from the hallway. He heard Malchazzar's
staccato sighs and panting. Thinking the adolescent dark-elf was
pleasuring himself, the tutor remained outside for a moment.

But then he heard heresy: "Father, deliver me from the women who seek to
bind me," Malchazzar whispered. "Show your child the way that you have
shown those before him. The Voice, The Eye, The Flame."

Then the tutor heard grunts, and decided to step in.

Malchazzar froze and stared up at him, and then the tutor ran out
into the cavernous city to report the transgression to the nearest
Priestess of Lloth.

It would seem Malchazzar would not become a mage as his parents had hoped.
