Chapter 9

Its hard to pass the torch while standing alone atop a cliff.

Stading upon this cliff I hear many ghosts floating upon the crimson winds.
In my long years I have seen many come and go, be they young as a green
sapling or old as a gnarled oak. As I grow older I find I wish to pass on my
knowledge to those who follow behind me. Not just my martial knowledge but my
knowledge of Thera and the Island I also do not wish to die with me.

I have come upon many barriers to this as I walk the fabled lands of Thera.
Combat calls at me from deep down in my soul, I find myself as much drawn to
battle now as when I was just venturion out from the academy. This hampers my
time and holds my attention most likely more than it should. But the island
also calls, I have not seen the meter in such a long time I fear he has taken
his own life, but still I must bear that burden I swore to do. So I speak
with the young and answer thier questions truthfully and gauge wether the
island is where they need to be.

When I finally do have time to try and impart my knowledge it is hard to find
one willing and able to listen. To many of the young are so full or burning
desire they don't want to listen, and the old are so set in thier ways they
think that they know it all already.

Am I some prophet sent from the heavens no, do I believe I know it all...no
But I do believe I know some, and would desire to find a few to pass it on to
before I myself join the cherubs on the crimson winds.
