Chapter 8

Flying on the crimson winds.

The life of a chalice bearer is more than I had hoped and yet still not what
I expected. Truly from my end I do not think anything has changed, but others
they see the chalice as something from myth and legend. I try and tell them
all it is something to be respected and honored but tis no mythical thing
that none can obtain. If a unbroken cliff jumper can bear it than they have a
chance also. I teach when I can, speak when they will allow it and follow the
ways of a chalice bearer always. I hope by my words and leading by example
others will find the way.

The island is acting the the tides in a storm, one moment we are full and
lush, crashing against the shore shaping the world to our will. The next it
is calm and flat, a lone lighttower against the storm is all that stands. I
hope the young that have entered will contunie to grow and prosper like they
should, and we will help the world stay at balance like it needs.

All in all things are going the way they should I believe, I feel a bit more
spring in my step and the banshee's have retreated a bit so I will not be
joining the cherubs on the crimson winds as soon as I had thought.
