Chapter 1

The adventure begins

Six legs, thousands of eyes, stronger than a bear, quicker than a viper.
Spiders, the perfect hunters. No wonder her bloodline had always worshipped
them, deep down in the caverns of the underdark they were praised as holy
creatures. For as long as she could remember, Liantae had been facinated by
the creatures, following them wherever she could, asking the adults, the ones
she dared to ask, questions about the creatures and their goddess. All of her
youth she prayed to the spider godess and hoped that she'd one day become a
priest of hers. But she lacked the talents needed for it, she did however
have other talents, talents that didn't go unnoticed by her house, or anyone
else by that matter. She was fierce, as the other females children practiced
and were tutored to become mages or priests, Liantae was too absorbed by her
spiders to become a good student, her failures in her studies made the other
students mock her and her house to despise her.
It did not take long until her family pulled her out from her studies and put
her in training to become a regular guard instead. Unfortunately she did not
excel here either, due to the same reasons. However this she did have an
affinity for, she prefered the daggers but the guardsmen prefered the sword
and thus she was forced to practice with this as well.
Liantae suffered in the city, it's strict order and hiarchy did not suit her
well, and all she wanted to do was to study the spiders, just after a few
years she decided that she had enough and when the oportunity arose, she
snuck out, never looking back. She had heard of the spider forest, this was a
place that she must find but first she needed training, as soon as she
reached Hamsah Mu'tazz she asigned herself to the academy and was accepted...
