Role

Chapter 7

(NOTES) Goals and Beliefs
Added Sun Nov 3 01:00:39 2013 at level 1:

1) Caldysias desires to properly serve the Spearmaiden Baerinika and to gain
her blessing in his crusade against the vile. He views purity of the soul to
be the most important aspect of the collective as well as the individual. He
hopes to use this knowledge, coupled with religious zeal, to create a platform
for a stronger army of the Light. The notion of purity will be manifested in
every thing he does.

2) He desires to join the Fortress of Light as a Squire with the intentions of
eventually using the noble institution as a means to wage war against the cults
which his House discovers. He considers the greatest risks to the Light and all
of Theran life to be in order: Scions of Eternal Night, the Cult(s) of Zurcon,
the Cult of the Ruby Scarab, the Grinning Skull Village, the Empire, other
evil souls. He believes all evil beings are possessed in one manner or another
and that is why their aura is red.

3) He believes that salvation is possible for the possessed as long as they are
not ancestrally devoted to the Shadow. This means that a Dark-Elf or Fire Giant
are incapable of being exorcised while a human necromancer is not beyond all
hope. The family's tradition states that a soul must truly desire freedom from
the affliction and that the ritual just gives them the strength to do what they
normally could not. It is with this mind that Caldysias will determine which
beings are simply beyond help. Once that decision is made the possessed (willing
or otherwise) must be destroyed.

4) He believes that neutrality is a philosophical fallacy. He will work with but
never fully trust any who are not of the Light. Furthermore he is more comfortable
with other Elves and has a difficult time relating to other races. His use of
the Elvish language is common, especially when he is frustrated.

5) He desires to form a guild of demon-hunters and the righteous to aid in the
defense of the box that contains Zurcon. He will use this platform as a means to
spread the works of his family beyond the confines of their House. This religious
Order will also honour fallen warriors of the Light who they will canonize as
Saints of the Crusade.

6) He will do everything in his power to adhere to the commandments of his
House. He is guilt ridden at the thought of his father continuing to exist
somewhere in the realm possessed by one of the demons in Zurcon's service because
he failed to follow through with his duty. Because of this he will be zealous
in following the proper etiquette of his cabal, guild and religion. He will not
dishonour his name again.

7) Finally he continues the search for evidence of his father and the possessed
woman he travels with. He believes, if they still live, that they will be
influential in the mortal actions of the Zurconian Cult. He prays daily that the
Darsylonian arrows sent him to be with their ancestors in heaven.
