Twizoua Elementra the Leading Lady for Harmony

Description

A very tiny creature of the lightest brown hue is before you.
The slight wrinkles around her eyes of a dark brown color are small,
but somehow seem the most noticeable feature on an otherwise
unremarkable face, almost beaming with something unknown.
The hair on the creature is very short, and other from
a few bruises, there is a lack of distinction about her.
No bulging muscles, the features are almost pure, maybe the hands
seem a slight touch calloused and have probably been in a fight.
But the eyes are unique, alluring and unforgettable.

Chapter 9

Rhyming again

Island needs strong leadership. While at times I may have matters to attend to,
generally I feel I'm the best candidate for the job. I feel proud able
to scatter two or three villagers at a time, often killing at least one.
They generally cower in fear at Destructor often with me around.
What saddens is that we also need a strong base of new members and I
will try my best to grow the island, both in word and in deed.

Not as Rhymie as before

In a recent vote, I have lost the position of a Rhyme.
I didn't try to pursuade anyone to keep me in that post,
I thought that my actions and the abilities to handle anyone,
including ragers, spoke for themselves. Apparently the people
saw another more often, hence they voted for him. I harbor
absolutely no resentment and will have to let my actions
speak even louder. Eventually people will realize. If not
then so be it. Sometimes the public doesn't know.

Rhyme

While somewhat surprising, there is no one else to fill the big shoes I suppose.
I will step up to the challenge and do my best to grow the island and instill
the respect, if not fear, into the heart of the villagers, who for some
reason continue to see us as their primary foe, which, at times, we are not.
I will try to be fairly lax on who gets in since we need all who are able
to work on fixing the balance. Of course, that does not include those who
are simply incapable of being helpful.
Unfortunately, seeing the Meter has proved difficult lately, since
I feel we need to discuss and clarify to the Island the terms of Seeker
and Keeper, which are often misunderstood. We Seek to Keep the Balance in short.

Chapter 6

The weapons and the elements

I have become quite learned in the intricacies of the pointed weapons.
It is not actually that different from mastering the elements.
Whereas previously I used to point my finger just so, gathering a touch
of Air and mix it up with the current winds, now I use that wind to
help me slice an enemy's artery, say. The movements can be quite similar.
I reckon that while we're all acting in a varying manner, the end result is the same.
Whether it's wielding a fiery dagger or throwing a fireball, an enemy can
be made to burn and perhaps even the cold steel is an element of its own
if it can be mended and applied properly. At this, I am content.
I may not be able to cast an elemental spell again, but I can sure still
wield the forces and apply them skillfully in other ways.

The teachings of the wise

The Gods of Thera differ in what they seek in their followers.
But there is one who seems to be particularly well-suited to my
circumstances, and I have decided that I will direct my prayers to Daevryn.
It is not known whether he'll choose to grant me an audience, but I shall try.
It is further not known whether he'll find me worthy, but I shall try.
If it means pushing myself and working harder, than so be it.
While it's hard to learn the ways of the sword, it is even harder to learn
them without divine guidance and no one to direct the prayers to.

Chapter 4

The twinkling of Magic

The life on the island has given me the opportunity to feel the
familiar tug of Magic, just there outside my reach.
The ability to call upon the key to percept the auras of balance
as well as to serve as my vanguard are somehow familiar, but
slightly different from the workings of the elements, and all
serve as a good respite from just having to fight my way through.
I hope I get to discover the wondrous power of the Bond and the
power of Magic that will again flow through me with the help of a bondmate.
I cannot live in the past, I am proud of what I am able to do now,
and if I can help the elements through my weapons, so be it.

Chapter 3

The villagers

I have met two fellows, by the names of Misseratan and Vallathrall,
who are apparently intent of killing all things magic on sight.
While that desire is strange, it seemed to me a bit misguided.
So I pressured them to provide a good example why they would ever do that.
Neither could give me one, unfortunately, making their desire to kill
a small gnomish girl all the more stupid.

I do not reckon that all villagers should be killed on sight if
the Magic flows at a healthy rate. We only battle them out of necessity
since they make themselves a nuisance and sometimes impede the said
flow of Magic at a good rate. I made all the logical arguments and
unfortunately did not get a meaningful response back.

I will keep trying to pursuade them to take a more logical choice in life.

Chapter 2

Warrior training and Magic

On the bad side of things, no hint of Magic or the former
inherent understanding of the elements has come back. It is as
though there was nothing there to begin with. If only the memory
of the vividness of weaving wasn't there. Alas.

In the other news, the weapons training has been going rather
well. The guildmaster is kind enough to teach new tricks and
the fellows don't seem to be too bad, albeit a bit of posturing
has been going on, but that is familiar to Twizoua from the studies
of the elements. All students are rather the same it seems.

It seems that the Nexus is supporting the flow of Magic to this
world and it seems rather fitting that a former student of the
elements should join in protecting that. Besides, all those
showoffs in the guild are probably going to become ragers someday.
It will be a great hidden pleasure to prove them what a gnomish
former mage can do with a weapon. Just won't tell anyone.

Chapter 1

Background

A proud family of Elementra invokers have long been training to keep
the magic well-flowing and have researched the deepest tenets of the
elements, perhaps all too well. For the young Twizoua, the world
of Magic was all too fascinating and wonderful since the young years.
She grew up learning to sparkle up the birthdays from he fingers,
to amaze the other children with her uncanny ability with the fire,
and to mix the water and the air together to create a magical fountain
of wondrous excitement out of a small breeze and a tiny puddle.

She has been a good student of the Arts and things were progressing well.
One day she saw her father perform an impressive show of fireworks
for the whole village out of thin air and has decided she was good enough
to dig into the secret books, kept under lock and key, and strictly off-limits.

Pushing the locks aside with a touch of air was easy enough,
reading the ancient tongue was not until some years have passed.
She has stared at the pictures and strange hieroglyphs until suddenly
it all snapped into place. Oh, to combine the six elements together, just so,
the book said, and hold them in cohesion just so, and then draw from
them together, just so, to create the unending variety of mixes of
spells. That seemed easy enough, she didn't read the following pages
until much later. Twizoua has rested well, fed herself, and, well
remembering the instructions, went off to a secluded grove with a
nearby stream, made a fire and had easy access to all the elements.

When she combined the elements just so, as per the instructions,
she felt something overwhelming her, something tugging at her,
something pulling her into the complex weave. With her superior
concentration and decades of elemental training, she has resisted
the pull and the urge, of course, until she almost felt a push.
Twizoua tumbled into her own creation, becoming one with the
elements tied together into a tight knot, until she felt herself
tying apart, the Water becoming just droplets, the Air just a gust
the Earth just small sand, and Fire she felt was just ash.
With each element leaving the weave, something left her.
It was a sinking feeling, almost as if a body part was cut off.
In the end, there was Nothing. She tumbled to the ground, unconscious.

Twizoua woke up in a strange land, surrounded by nothing familiar.
No hint of a previous mastery of elements remained. She could not
light a single spark. Just the small decorative dagger that she wore
more for show remained the weapon she still had, leaving her with no
recourse but to try to stay alive using it as best she could.
