Description

You gaze upon a beautifully wild creature. Though her thin form is humanoid,
her features stir up memories of the forest. Long, verdant hair hangs in wild
braids, twisting like ivy around her limbs and torso. The strands are
intertwined with leaves, twigs, and brightly colored living flowers. Her face
can be seen behind the tangled weave, pale skin faintly reflecting any light.
Amber eyes slowly flow and pulse like the golden blood of a living tree while
her green, pouty lips express her mood. Her sharp ears, like cream colored
twigs, grow tall as a stark contrast to her dark braids.

Immortal Secrets

Alauviel has learned that Mendos was her natural father. He continues his
search for her mother and Alauviel prays for success on his journey. After
the soulbinding of her adopted parents, he told her more of the circumstances
of her mother's death and gave her information about her mother's killers.
She now knows that they were duergar and that one was a thief. The other,
Mendos believed practiced either the warrior's trade or the black magic of
the anti-paladins. Mendos believed one of them was named Delfan. He gave her
his ranger's spear to lay on the grave of their enemies if she ever found
them. He also told her that her grandmother still lives and would be able to
direct her further. Angry with the killers and fearing that the murderers
will wreak more havoc, Alauviel has set out to find her grandmother. She also
hopes that her grandmother may be able to help her meld with her Tree.

While travelling through Silverwood, Alauviel met an old druid who was
searching for a beautiful woman. He asked for her aid in protecting the
forest from the goblin invasion. Sensing his need and also hoping that he may
have information that could help her, she defeated the goblin leader. With
the help of Acolyte-In-Training Keara, she spawned a guardian that would
watch over the forest. Unfortunately, the man knew nothing of her
grandmother.

Keara and Alauviel continued exploring, hoping to find some clue that could
lead her to her grandmother's tree and place of rest. They found no leads,
but Keara and Alauviel became good friends and now call each other sister.

Alauviel still searches for her grandmother's tree.

Chapter 3

Kindness, an open mind, and an open heart

Excited by her father's exploits as a hunter, she asked him to tell her
stories of his youth. He told her of his curse, and his need to slay evil to
sate his thirst for blood. He also told her how his curse was broken with the
help of her mother, Andira.

Alauviel also spent time with her mother in the Fortress of the Light and
learned of her mother's role as Elder Prophet. Her mother challenged her to
learn both the way of the Maran and that of the Acolyte, and to choose a path
that was best for her. Her mother instructed her to act with kindness, an
open mind, and an open heart no matter what path she decides to choose.

Delighted by the war stories of her father and inspired by the strength of
her mother, Alauviel decides to accept her mothers challenge.

Chapter 2

Guardian of the Tree

After wandering away from the Tree of Ages, Alauviel could no longer return.
The wolves in the forest violently took her life as she tried to approach,
but she was revived by the Power of the Tree. She returned again but found
that she couldn't find the ramp to ascend. Nythos instructed her that with
more experience, she would once again find the ramp. He tasked Brakrar and
Baltaqi to hunt with her and by watching their example she gained the insight
she needed to find her way into the Refuge.

Once again at home in the Refuge, Alauviel feels a strong protective bond to
the Tree of Ages. She desires to learn more about the Ancients and to become
an effective guardian of her Tree. Alauviel also has dreams of growing a
personal garden there, a passion that she shares with her mother, Andira.

Chapter 1

Background

Alauviel has been united with her adopted mother and father. She has learned
that her birth mother died before bringing her to term, but her grandmother
kept her seedling alive. Andira was able to bond her to the Tree of Ages, and
detangled her roots allowing her to roam freely without being overcome by the
power of the Tree. Alauviel still has questions for her mother about her
birth, but is content to know that the information will come with time.

Alauviel knows that Andira and Azhelak are not her real parents, but she
still feels a strong bond to both of them and is happy to call them mother
and father. She has begun to learn the ways of the Acolyte from her mother,
and has been hearing stories of the Hunt from her father.

As Alauviel meets new people she is politely shy until she becomes more
comfortable and then her excited curiosity shines through. She was introduced
to many members of the Fortress. They were all very kind and she thinks
fondly of each of them.

Her father has also warned her to be wary of the Reavers.
