Forsaken Thoughts

His drunken haze clears as he lifts his head within the Isle.. "Where.. where
did it go?" he whispers under his breath. He puts his hand over his heart and
breathes deeply only to feel his burdens lifted, the surging anxiety that has
plagued his heart for over seven hundred years. He tries to think about his
brother, but there is not one bit of disdain or anger that arises. He tries
to think of his frailty in combat, yet still feels strength and pride.

The lull of the waves below him crashes softly underneath the veil and speaks
uplifting words. Helping his forsake all his thoughts, she heals him, and
nudges him to continue. He nods to himself with pride at his recent success,
and stands up slowly.

His brittle body almost gives out on him as he rises, yet he regains his
footing. "My work here is almost done, but I must fight until the end.. this
Isle has given me hope, it has given me enlightenment, it has given me
strength... but most of all, a family that is irreplaceable. I praise you
Lord Twist, Lord Daevryn, and Lady Rayihn, for the chance you have given me.
The village sulks, the tippers of balance hide, and I am finally happy..
