Chapter 3

His Childhood

role + The first 50 years of Sylus's life were a bit of blur. He remembers
the mundane life of father teaching him farming methods as his
father was a mere simple farmer. The most prominent thing of
Sylus's early childhood were dreams and visions of a buzzing
hive. Upon closer observation it appeared a hive of hornets.
Upon this realization a voice began whispering to him saying that
there were much bigger plans for the young giant then wasting
away on a farm. At the time he knew these visions signified
something, however he knew not what aside from the fact that he
could not waste his strength and skills merely working on a farm.

The years to follow Sylus knew his strength and skills were merely
going to waste as his father expected him to take over the farm.
Knowing that there was something bigger out there for him, he
began to practice his communication skills. After which he looked
into tales of just what was out there in Thera. The most notable was
the great civilization of the Empire. He heard tales of the chaos that
ensued throughout Thera and about the Empire's goals and
objectives. He heard of their Mighty Dark Lords, one of which
stood out as Lord Khasotholas was the Great Hornet, perhaps
of which pertained to his visions. At 100 years of age much to his
father's dismay, Sylus set off into Thera to see what it might have
in store for him.
