**** An Excerpt from the Journal of Rynellan ****
It's been almost two decades since she left this world. I
never thought I'd know purpose again. I knew only my books,
and my little cave. But now, I wear the Squires Mantle, and
I know where my life needs to go. I know that my home is here
now.

I've started learning to control myself better, and in doing
that I can help those I bring to this plane of existence do
what they were made to do. We continue, together to push back
the darkness. It is no easy task, not for my body or my soul.

The blood washes off my hands, of that I'm sure. But will it
ever wash off my soul? I know it needs doing, and it is hard,
but we can do hard things. I know that my brothers and sisters
can be pillars of aid that I can rest myself on, but do I dare
open myself to them? What will happen if I start losing them
like I lost Her?
