Finding One's Purpose

The hoot of an owl can be heard in the distance in the night's air.
Loose rock and gravel slowly fall down the mountain's side, a feat
of gravity or perhaps something more sinister? Padding along the
side of the mountain Mrreish quietly tracks his prey, being careful
to keep out of sight and scent. The moon is full and its rays of
light illuminate the huge black bear slowly making its way along
the mountain trail below. When the bear reached the end of the trail
it was time to strike before it could turn into the forest where
it would be more difficult to pursue without Mrreish's scent being
found. With a running start and a leap, Mrreish sailed through the
air, the predator's shadow on the mountain trail and a gleam of steel
from the moonlight being the only warning the prey had. Soon growl's
of anger and pain could be heard throughout the mountaintops as
life's cycle was coming full circle.

Near the mountaintops Mrreish would drag his kill, safe from
scavengers and other predators. It was a fine kill, a clean kill.
When others of the pack simply talked, Mrreish moved. Leaving the
pack to continue hunt alone, one of little words but preferring
bold action. A great Fire burns within the felar, a follower of the
Goddess Iunna, he sensed that there was something greater to be done
besides the bickering and the politics. And set out to accomplish
such. To the north a great Tree can be seen and felt. Mrreish slowly
makes his travels there.
