HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

The first 100 years of the 6th age is nearly upon us, and to celebrate the occasion, the Arena will host an incredible event with incredible reward for whoever is declared the Centennial Champion! To enter, please pen a NOTE TO KORSGAARD with the SUBJECT: Centennial Entry.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE BEFORE APRIL 11TH.

Between April 11 and April 12, all participants will be randomly added to a bracket that will be sent out before the event on April 13th. All
participants will know who they're fighting the day before the battle on April 14th.

Any level participant may enter, but you MUST be level 44-51 by the day of the event to be listed on the bracket.

Train hard! Prepare! Become the Centennial Champion!

***ONE PLAYER PER CHARACTER***

Greetings Therans!

The Centennial Arena Event is nearly upon us, and the Arena Mistress and I
have decided to extend the entry period until Friday, as we gods tell time,
when the sun is at the highest point (12PM CST). If you are rank 44-51 of
your guild and have not entered, throw your name into the battle! As of this
moment, we have THIRTEEN brave challengers who feel they have the luck of Lord
Whiysdan to win the whole thing! Who will be declared the Centennial Champion
and claim the prize? Will it be you?

Reminder...
Note to: Korsgaard
Note subject: Centennial Entry

...To be entered into the event. Brackets will be made public Friday evening
for the event on Saturday (6pm CST).

Awesome event, the Count numbers were insane 45 max with consistently high numbers.Attendance through the roof.

It was fun, and the brackets were genius, they were all interesting and fun fights to watch.

I would say to do this very often, like once a month but then I am afraid of diminishing returns.

The roleplay of the immortals that were visible was also very amusing. Emnon played the part like a champ, I wonder what would have happened to the emperor if he had lost money for Emnon.

This event was a ton of fun, even if the end was a bit confusing.

Hope we get to see a lot more like it, perhaps duos next time?

See what I did there? Heh heh.

It does seem the server cannot handle 45 people on anymore.

Again, I want to thank ALL the participants, as well as apologize for the confusion at the end. You all put on one heck of a fight and if you didn't show up, there would be no fight! You are the heart that pumps the blood in this crazy machine, thank you all so much!

I will plan on future events and I promise to hammer out the brackets to a simpler format. Maybe the 1st 16 people to sign up and go from there and stick with even numbers :P

So, here's what the event looked like and how it ended.

We had no redemption after the 2nd round to keep things going, that way there was more to lose. Final round was 2 deaths and you're out in your matchups, along with the confusing part to add Borlan back in, and well... you'll see. It all ended up okay, and I'm glad everyone had a good time.
