Petrom the butcher tells you 'Would you like to browse anything further?'

Petrom the butcher says 'Some folk around here dinnae like yer kind, but yer money is good here.'
Petrom the butcher says 'Since ye buyin so many, I'll take a little off de price fer ye.'
You haggle the price down to 67 copper per item.
You buy ten of a live chicken.

He haggled the priced "down" but the cost per item went up.

Nope. The shopkeeper would normally charge him more than 67. The listed price (60) is the base price. The character in the log haggled down to 67 from the higher price (75+). By design.
